"What do you want your life to be about?"
That’s what I asked myself early on.
As a teen I was devastated by Epstein bar and encephalitis. I spent a year in bed and suffered long term viral and allergy issues. My brain was pretty wiped from this and it took me 5 years to regain reading, writing and thinking skills. The experience left me sensitive to energy and the challenges of energy sensitivity. A number of health practitioners told me,” You’ll just have to live with it. We can’t do anything to help you.” Both the Feldenkrais and the Well Being Sciences allowed me to heal many of the issues that medicine couldn’t help.
Time went on and at 35, as a full-time mom, I had reoccurring back issues. I tried many different methods to stop the back pain. Feldenkrais worked for me within 3 sessions. So, I took the training and became a practitioner (2003) and began helping others get out of pain.
As my kids grew into young adults, I realized it was time to sort out my reoccurring allergy and immunity issues. While the Feldenkrais showed me that the body can heal itself with movement, these issues required something different. Because I am energy sensitive, I tried a number of energy healing techniques. I so loved what the Well Being Sciences did because it allowed me to sync my physical and energetic health together, solving allergy and immune issues and regaining my sense of purposeful living. In 2011 I became a Well Being Sciences practitioner and have helped many others to recover their health.
Today my practice continues with pain relief and energy balancing. The latest addition to my work is with energy, movement, and dance. Life moves and when we move with it, there is a happiness, a fullness, and it feels purposeful.

It’s a way to help your body function efficiently, with strength and capability. So, there’s no place for pain.
When our bodies feel fractious or in many pieces, the inner communication doesn’t work well. This creates frustration and too much pressure. With too much pressure we push, and things break or breakdown. We don’t use a body part because it hurts or we can’t figure out how to use it following an injury, illness or pain. It’s not just physical pain.
Feldenkrais is a gentle method of helping the many parts of the body reconnect and reintegrate. Pain, injury, illness or just daily repetitive use can cause a disconnect in the body. This leads to pain. If you feel disconnection in the body, meaning one part of the body part doesn’t communicate effectively with another, you can also have poor communication in your thinking and your feeling, the way you approach things, and how you make decisions.
The Feldenkrais Method can give you better function, physically and internally…eliminating the pain. Imagine a happier, more satisfied life.
Individual sessions are known as functional integration (FI).
It’s a gentle exploration in sitting, standing, or lying on a Feldenkrais table. The practitioner uses gentle hands-on movements to find out how your body talks to itself?

Each FI is unique because it is based on what the person needs at the time.
Classes are known as Awareness Through Movement (ATM) lessons. These are oriented around a specific need or problem you may be trying to solve. It might include such things as how to move without pain, how to stand easily, how to sit comfortably and so on.
The simple movements help the body find out how to inter-relate better and can help with better body integration, internal communication and self-image. We use a heck of a lot of energy when we’re in pain or extreme discomfort. Often, it means we don’t have energy for other things.
Put simply, Beth helps you get out of pain, find comfort, flexibility and strength. Your body and processes feel reconnected to their natural response. Your habits change and you find the best ways to use your body and your energies, while learning what you need to do to stay pain-free.
Natural healing is a process that brings your system into a new normal, and new balance. When our health is failing or iffy, it creates anxiety and a lack of trust in the underlying parts of us. Our bodies are built to do what we need and to trust that it will do it. If you had a long-standing illness or constantly are changing and don’t allow your body, all of your systems to find its way with your new habits then you feel stuck, you feel insecure and you feel not able. When you’re strong and able to do then everything works well.
In a perfect world, the physical and the energetic work together in harmony and balance. However, when they get out of balance how do we sort out which part to help? That’s the gap that the Well Being Sciences fills.
